We strolled Zoe around the hospital while she and Camden slept, and when we returned to the room, she awoke a new person. She used the potty, ate like a champ, conversed with everyone, and both of her eyes are finally open (her lids had been swollen closed due to surgery drainage), so we can enjoy those gorgeous green/grays again.

We’re still trying to find ways to bond with Camden and minister to Zoe as a family, so we asked the staff if we can stay in the room together tonight and they’ll allow it, but it looks like tomorrow we may have to separate. They offer “sleep spaces” here, so we may take turns utilizing that this week at night.

Please pray for us with regard to David’s work and the dynamics and logistics involved in having a sick child and trying to perform in the workplace.

Please also pray for continued restoration of Zoe’s brain and body. We expect a scan on Monday to show us the fluid spaces in her brain to see if swelling is decreasing. Also, she has begun physical therapy and today was able to put a bit of weight on her legs and attempt to shuffle forward. She has a long way to go and lots of work ahead of her, but we can tell she wants to put forth the effort in between lots of breaks.
